18 Days Best Adventure Safari in Kenya

DAY 1: NAIROBI TO TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK.

Our driver will pick you early in the morning from your hotel in Nairobi
and head to Tsavo West National Park.
Morning breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi and followed by a checkout
and drive to Tsavo west national park. Visit the Rhino sanctuary during
this en-route scenic game viewing. Arrive at your lodge/luxury camp for
check-in and lunch. Afternoon game drive will later on follow and will
include a visit to shetani lava flow point which provides the excellent
distance view of Mt. Kilimanjaro with its snowcapped peaks.

DAY 2: TSAVO WEST TO AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK.

A pre-breakfast game drive to view the beautiful Tsavo West hills. After
breakfast, visit the famous Mzima Springs, spot the Hippos, Crocodiles,
and different types of fish in the crystal-clear waters. Game en-route
to Amboseli National Park arriving in time for Lunch. Afternoon game
drive in search of the big five. Enjoy the spectacular views of Africa’s
highest snow-capped peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to Amboseli
Lodge/luxury camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: GAME DRIVE TO AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK.

The morning after breakfast, we will have a morning game viewing safari
in search of the hunting Lions in the plains of the park. Later on, view
wildlife which includes wildebeest, Zebra grazing side by side with
Dik-Dik and Giraffe. Some large packs of the African hunting dog outrun
wildebeest before killing them by biting the flesh off the live helpless
animals.
Crocodile nest on the swampy banks of the Amboseli Lake, as they bask
about in the afternoon heat. Later, we transfer to a Masai homestead and
then learn about the way of life of the locals. In the late evening,
then drive to the viewing point at Observation Hill, where the wildlife
of the Amboseli will be seen at a vantage point from above.

DAY 4: AMBOSELI TO LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK.

Early morning pre-breakfast game drive at 6.30 am, when you have the
best chance to see the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro, Return to the lodge for
late breakfast. The rest of this morning is spent on the road to reach
Lake Nakuru National Park.

DAY 5: GAME DRIVE TO LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK.

Today we explore to this exotic Lake Nakuru National Park, located in
the Great Rift Valley. After l, launch an exciting game run is planned
for the afternoon. The game in this park is plentiful and the
magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most
reluctant. The Park is home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater
Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores into a magnificent pink
stretch. The birdlife here is world renown and over 400 bird species
exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets, and Marabou Stork. It is
also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White Rhino and
rare Rothschild Giraffe.

DAY 6: LAKE NAKURU TO SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE.

After breakfast, you will proceed on a game drive in LakeNakuruPark,
known for its prolific bird-life including flamingos. The park contains
a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino while species like
Cape Buffalo and Waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline–enjoy a hot
lunch and then drive to Samburu Game Reserve.
Samburu National Reserve is a Kenyan less visited Game Reserve and is
situated within the Rift Valley.
It is relatively small in size compared to other Kenyan parks, such as
Tsavo but it has more to offer as well as several endangered species.
After lunch transverse to Isiolo town via Asher’s post to arrive in
Samburu in the afternoon. Upon arrival check in the Tented Camp and
thereafter proceed for the game drive which will bring you to the
elephant bedroom tower. The game drive will run for about 3 hours and
thereafter you will return to the Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 7: GAME DRIVE TO SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE.

The whole day will be spent exploring this amazing game reserve, it
gives you the refreshment of your mind as the park is not populated and
not many people visits here, we have the concentration of the Its home
to the big five, Elephant, Lion, Rhino, Leopard, Buffalo, Gerenuk,
Reticulated Giraffe, Somali Ostrich, Gravy Zebra, Besia Oryx, Endangered
Wild Dog as well as Pun cake Tortoise – Endangered. There are over 450
species of birds identified and aquatic species in the Waso Nyiro River
including, vultures, kingfishers, marabous, bateleurs, guinea fowl,
Somali ostriches, and others. The whole day will be spent exploring the
park for the whole day’s game drive.

DAY 8: ANOTHER DAY GAME DRIVE TO SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE.

Today after breakfast, you will spend Full day in Samburu National park
with early morning and afternoon game drives in Samburu Game Reserve,
which covers 40 square miles (104 square kilometers). Ololokwe Table
Mountain forms a dramatic backdrop to our game viewing.
Samburu is also home to the third of Kenya’s giraffe species – the rare
Reticulated Giraffe (only found in the Northern parks). This is also
where you see the blue-legged Somali Ostrich, the long-necked Gerenuk
gazelle, and the straight-horned Beisa Oryx antelope.

DAY 9: SAMBURU TO MERU NATIONAL PARK.

A safari to Meru National Park is ideal for travelers searching for
something off the beaten track. The park is one of the most scenic parks
in Kenya with Mt. Kenya visible in the far distance. It has unbelievable
sunsets over nearby Nyambeni hills. It is also known for its elephant
herds and the rare Gerenuk antelope.
Arrive in time for lunch at your reserved lodge.

DAY 10: GAME DRIVE TO MERU NATIONAL PARK.

Spend the full day in the Meru National Park with morning and afternoon
game drive. Meru was made famous by the book and film Born free that
recounted the story of the lives of George and Joy Adamson, and the
lioness, Elsa. Wild animals to be spotted in Meru National Park include;
large herds of Buffalo, Bushbuck, Eland, Duiker, Elephant, Gazelle,
Giraffe, Genet, Hartebeest, Kudu, Impala, Waterbuck and Gravy Zebra. You
will also spot the Baboons, Jackal, Hyena, Kudu, Lion, Oryx, Mongoose,
Oribis, Vervet Monkeys, and Warthogs. In addition, you may see Wild dog,
Caracal, Bushbaby, Cheetah, Dik-dik, Civet, Leopard, Bushpig, Otter,
Porcupine, and Black and White Rhino.
Along the rivers, you will see abundant Hippo and Crocodiles. Birdlife
includes Peter’s on foot which inhabits the Murera and Ura Rivers, the
Pel’s Fishing Owl, Rollers, Bee-eaters, Kingfishers, Starlings, and
numerous Weavers. Picnic lunch at the park.

DAY 11: MERU NATIONAL PARK TO OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY.

This morning we depart from your safari lodge in Meru National Park, and
proceed north, driving through lush tea and coffee estates to
Sweetwaters Tented Camp. Sweetwaters land, the Ol Pejeta Conservancy,
and its sumptuous ranch were once the private domain of famed
multi-millionaire, Adnan Kashoggi. We visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a
charming haven established by the Jane Goodall Institute to provide
sanctuary to orphaned chimps, and the specially protected and fenced
refuge of black rhino with its stunning forty specimens! In fact,
Sweetwaters boasts excellent game viewing with the highest ratio of game
to area of any park or reserve in Kenya. Moreover, the camp has its own
private waterhole and salt lick so we’ll be guaranteed unprecedented
close encounters. Whether its day or night game drives, camel trekking,
lion tracking, al fresco dining, or relaxing by the pool, Sweetwaters is
bound to delight.

DAY 12: GAME SAFARI TO OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY.

Today we explore exotic Sweetwaters Sanctuary on two extensive game
runs. Our camp also overlooks one of the busiest waterholes in the area
and offers elephant, giraffe, and myriad plains game. This is Africa as
Teddy Roosevelt saw it years ago when he led one of the first safaris to
tour Africa in comfort and splendor. Our tents at Sweetwaters will
remind us of this bygone era.

DAY 13: OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY TO ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK.

After morning breakfast, drive to Aberdare National Park, an early
morning game drive in Ol Pejeta Sweetwaters Conservancy. The Conservancy
boasts an astounding variety of animals including all the “Big Five”
(the endangered black rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo and lion). The
combination of amazing wildlife and stunning views across the open
plains of Ol Pejeta guarantees an unforgettable safari experience.
You will arrive at the Hotel in time for lunch followed by the afternoon
game drive in the national park.
Animals easily observed in the Aberdare National Park include; Rhino,
leopard, baboon, Colobus monkey, Sykes monkey, lions, the golden cat,
and the bongo antelope that lives in the bamboo forest.

DAY 14: ABERDARE TO LAKE NAIVASHA NATIONAL PARK.

After breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and proceed to Lake
Naivasha National Park to arrive at your Lodge in time for Lunch.
After Lunch, you will proceed for an afternoon game drive to further
explore the park and in the evening, you will return to your Lodge in
time for dinner.
Lake Naivasha is the highest and purest of all the Rift Valley Lakes at
1880 m above sea level. This area is a birdwatcher’s paradise with over
450 species of recorded birds in the area. A small islet on the lake is
home to the number of wildlife. Visitors can enjoy a boat ride safari as
they view wildlife and birds from the tranquil lake. A private ranch
(Kongoni Game Sanctuary) is located in the area which is home to lions,
leopards, cheetah, and some translocated Gravy zebras.

DAY 15: NAIVASHA MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE.

After an early morning game drive, you will have breakfast then depart
for Masai Mara National Reserve arriving in time for a game viewing
drive around the game reserve.
Break for lunch then continue with game viewing till evening when you
will return to your Tented Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 16: GAME DRIVE TO MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE.

This morning we drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the
Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of
the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great
wildebeest migration and is the home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant,
Leopard, Buffalo, and Rhino. Lunch at our Lodge and relax before
departing for the afternoon game run. The Mara Game Reserve —one of the
greatest wildernesses in the world. Large mammals are varied and easy to
see. Residents among the Parks are Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland, and
thousands of plains game, including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson’s
and grants Gazelles.

DAY 17: GAME DRIVE TO MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE.

The search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues today and
tomorrow during extensive game runs. On the plains are enormous herds of
grazing animals, plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst
acacia boughs. During our stay, why we also have an optional opportunity
to visit a village of the Masai people to witness the singing and
dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse
into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience.

DAY 18: MASAI MARA TO NAIROBI.

After a sumptuous breakfast, drive back to Nairobi this morning, we may
wish to visit shopping areas of Nairobi, revisit a favorite site or
simply relax before proceeding to the airport, already fondly recalling
the trip of a lifetime.
