Ever since the railway cut through to the hinterland in 1900, famous names such as Hemmingway, Finch Hatton, Roosevelt and many more have come here to Safari and left spell bound having experienced the wonders of this magical land. Big game, untouched tribes and stunning landscapes combine to produce what is often described as the holiday of a life time.
Day 01: Arrival / Nairobi
Land into Jomo Kenyatta International airport met with your driver guide and given complimentary safari hat BEST way to start your African safari in Kenya .
The drive to your hotel is about 15 minutes depending on the traffic.
Arrival into your hotel –Eka Hotel where you will be assisted by our staff to check in. hotel porters will assist collect your luggage from your vehicle and welcome you the reception where you will be assisted in checking in and quickly assisted to your hotel room.
Have a relaxed leisure the rest of the day.
Day 02: Nairobi / Amboseli National Park
(Approximate 4 hrs drive – 250 kms)
0800 hrs – After breakfast check out, this morning you’ll meet up with your driver guide and head off to Amboseli National Park, you will have two stops enroute to visit the wash rooms.
Arrival in time for warm welcome you will be offered free welcome drink as you check in, then assisted to your respective rooms later head to the restaurant for hot lunch.
After lunch at leisure on if you are lucky on a clear day enjoy the wonderful view of the highest mountain in Africa mount Kilimanjaro.
1600 hrs – This afternoon you’ll meet up with your guide and head out into Amboseli National Park. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants. On a clear day, you’ll also have spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world.
Day 03: Amboseli National park
Early morning wake up call.
0630 hrs – Head out for early morning game drive.
This morning you will meet up with your guide for your game drive through Amboseli. Famous for its great herds of Elephants. Return back in time for breakfast then after breakfast you will have time at leisure.
Enjoy your lunch at the lodge.
1600 hrs – This afternoon you will meet up with your guide and head out into Amboseli National Park. Along with the great herds of elephants, the park is also home to cheetahs, lions, baboons, wildebeest and buffalo to name a few.
Day 04: Amboseli National park – Lake Naivasha
The drive will be about 5 hours. (330 kms)
0800 hrs – After breakfast you will meet up with your guide and head off to Naivasha. The drive will be about 5 hours, the drive will take you via the outskirts of Nairobi city.
Stop at the Great Rift Valley to admire the scenery as you make your way through rural Kenya onto the Rift Valley, an area boasting quaint little villages which dot the traditional African landscape. Prepare yourself for you first glimpse of Mount Longonot.
Arrival in time for warm welcome you will be offered free welcome drink as you check in, then assisted to your respective rooms later head to the restaurant for hot lunch.
You can go for excitingly unique boat ride excursion to the Crescent Island Wildlife Sanctuary whilst in the Lake Naivasha area today. Admire the scenery as you take a short boat trip from the mainland to this dynamic location where you’ll have the opportunity to get in some wildlife viewing at a very relaxed pace. As there is little to no threat from some of the “Big 5” predators, the various species of wildlife, birdlife and flora live quite freely here, providing visitors with some great photo opportunities. Some of the many mammals that can be seen here include zebras, impalas, buffaloes, giraffes, and hippos. Resident bird species include herons, black cranes, lily trotters, ospreys and fish eagles. – Boat ride + visit to cresent island – USD 65 PP.
Day 05: Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara Game Reserve
(The drive will be about 4.5 hours. (280 kms)
0800 hrs – After breakfast – Your guide will drive you from Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara, enroute you will have two stops to stretch yourself and enjoy the wonderful rural scenery.
Arrival in time for warm welcome you will be offered free welcome drink as you check in, then assisted to your respective rooms later head to the restaurant for hot lunch.
1600 hrs – After enjoying your afternoon Kenyan tea and coffee – Head out this afternoon, for an exciting game viewing adventure. Search some of the area`s wildlife hot-spots determined by your driver guide, as they`ve learned and now understand the games daily routines through tracking. Some wildlife is more difficult than others to spot, for instance the Leopard. These spotted cats blends almost seamlessly into the tall grass and shrubbery, and are even more challenging to spot up in their favorite hangout, the trees. Your guide will take you to nearby watering holes, where on a hot day, you might spot many bird and wildlife species, including the elusive cats.
1830 hrs – After game drive head back to your lodge.
Day 06: Masai Mara Game Reserve
0630hrs – After enjoying a cup of hot Kenyan tea and coffee – Head out this morning, for an exciting early morning game viewing adventure. Return back in time for breakfast then after breakfast you will have time at leisure. Mid morning at leisure you can choose to visit local masai village at extra cost.
Enjoy your lunch at the lodge.
1600 hrs – After enjoying your afternoon Kenyan tea and coffee, On today’s afternoon game drive the choice is up to you: search for the Big 5 or expand your horizons to discover something different.
1830 hrs – After game drive head back to your lodge.
Masai Mara Game Reserve provides the necessary requirements to house a wide range of animal species. The most recognized are known worldwide as the African Big 5 which includes the African Elephant, Cape Buffalo, Rhinoceros, Leopard, and the King of the beasts, the Lion. The term Big 5 was coined by big-game hunters as these species were the most difficult and dangerous to track and hunt. Subsequently the term was adopted by the tourism industry for marketing purpose, spinning a web of positivity opposed to the negative effect portrait by the original terminology. Numerous other species of bird and wildlife inhabit this dynamic location including Hyenas, Gazelles, Impalas, Giraffes, Zebras, Vultures, Cranes, Eagles, Falcons, and Ostriches.
Day 07: Masai Mara – Nairobi
(The drive will be about 5 hours. (300 kms) Enjoy your buffet breakfast at the lodge. 0730 hrs – Check out and your driver guide will drive you from Masai Mara to Nairobi, with short stop-over’s for optional refreshments and shopping for souvenirs. Arrival into Nairobi in the afternoon – lunch on your own account. After lunch you will have time at leisure. The opportunity to explore the local markets and shops presents itself today as so you can interact with the local vendors in search for the perfect handicraft or souvenir for yourself or your loved ones. Before being transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight.
